- More map editor fixes and map inventory pool performance improvement for big maps.
Details:
- Fix not showing expected messagebox on exit (ALT+x) which also throw exception and goes to improper mapeditor exit.
- Fix second annoying sticky message which shouldn't popup during map loading and performing RemoveProhibitedAttachments.
- Fix CTD when delete all enemies or civilians or all of them in map.
- Fix some std exception when reporting for missing optional xml file.
- Fix memory and map corruption in old mapeditors if loaded old map has item with invalid attachment and we try to attach something else.
- As years ago pInventoryPoolList had migrated from WORLDITEM* array to std::vector<WORLDITEM> it was time to do that with gWorldItems too, all necessary functions which need to be adopted to gWorldItems std::vector type are also changed.
- Resize code for gWorldItems is changed hoping will lead into less corruption problems as now could occur in mapeditor and game when code automatically doing attachment changes.
- Change code for handling map inventory which now should be fast enough to support AIMNAS project which will probably deal with thousands of items per map.

Gas grenades now don't cause direct damage on hit anymore. They will cause damage on start of turn or if you move inside a gas cloud. Of course gas mask still helps (except for creature gas and fire).
Every tile moved inside a gas cloud deals a percentage of the normal damage (default 10%). This is set in Item_Settings.ini (DAMAGE_HEALTH_MOVE_EXPLOSIVE_MODIFIER, DAMAGE_BREATH_MOVE_EXPLOSIVE_MODIFIER).
Tiles can now have multiple gas effects on them. Unfortunately this is not visualized (yet).
Smoke doesn't make a character immune to other gas types anymore.
The 25% chance of taking damage while moving through a gas cloud has been removed. Damage is now applied 100% of the time.
- New modifiers for explosive damage in Item_Settings.ini (DAMAGE_HEALTH_EXPLOSIVE_MODIFIER, DAMAGE_BREATH_EXPLOSIVE_MODIFIER). These could fully replace EXPLOSIVES_DAMAGE_MODIFIER in Ja2_Options.ini but I left that general modifier untouched for now.
- Some compiler warning fixes.

Instead the game will now use the attachment class AC_EXTENDER.
With this we can have more extenders that can be damaged and fall off and also other extenders that are not damaged by shooting.
git-svn-id: https://ja2svn.mooo.com/source/ja2/trunk/GameSource/ja2_v1.13/Build@6438 3b4a5df2-a311-0410-b5c6-a8a6f20db521
When swapping merc faces in tactical the game will now rebuild the mercs squad.
Changed NCTH behaviour for lasers:
When USE_NEW_CTH_CALCULATION = TRUE in Ja2_Options.ini the game now uses the item property <BestLaserRange> now for a laser specific bonus instead of <ProjectionFactor>. This bonus is a percentage reduction of the base aperture in NCTH. This functionality will only be used if one of the following new parameters in CTHConstants.ini is NOT 0.
LASER_PERFORMANCE_BONUS_HIP
LASER_PERFORMANCE_BONUS_IRON
LASER_PERFORMANCE_BONUS_SCOPE
This functionality also affects the laser property that is displayed in UDB.
Changed NCTH behaviour for Iron Sights and other 1x sights:
Iron sights and other 1x sights can now receive a bonus in NCTH to make them more useful compared to scopes. This bonus is a percentage reduction of the base aperture just like lasers can do.
There is a new parameter in CTHConstants.ini for this:
IRON_SIGHT_PERFORMANCE_BONUS
git-svn-id: https://ja2svn.mooo.com/source/ja2/trunk/GameSource/ja2_v1.13/Build@6370 3b4a5df2-a311-0410-b5c6-a8a6f20db521
- externalized the brightness vision range modifiers to allow for different ratios of day/night vision range
- added <PercentRangeBonus> as a complement to <Rangebonus>
- added the possibility for LBE vests to function as plate carriers
These were the missing features from IoV previously not in the 1.13 trunk. Thereby, IoV is now fully compatible to the current trunk (by DepressivesBrot)
git-svn-id: https://ja2svn.mooo.com/source/ja2/trunk/GameSource/ja2_v1.13/Build@6279 3b4a5df2-a311-0410-b5c6-a8a6f20db521
- specify random items in RandomItems.xml
- when the game creates a random item, it searches all vialbe items according to random item class and picks one randomly
- this allows mappers to place items in maps that are more independent of the xml-set used, however the random items themselves msut be the same in map&mod
- can also be used to broaden the enemy gun/item choices selection
- for more reference, see http://www.bears-pit.com/board/ubbthreads.php/topics/310793.html#Post310793
FIX: sector curfew value was interpreted wrong
git-svn-id: https://ja2svn.mooo.com/source/ja2/trunk/GameSource/ja2_v1.13/Build@5594 3b4a5df2-a311-0410-b5c6-a8a6f20db521
- Added: Separate message for 'no space' (used 'already there' as a placeholder before)
- Fixed: Exchanging attachments when we are near capacity for the carrier
- Fixed: The LBE shown in the description box now changes as well and as soon as you add/remove an attachment
- Changed: The attachment now transfers the first non-zero pocket to the carrier instead of simply the first
- Added: Tooltips now show the currently used and the available space of a carrier.
- Added: A modifier for the explosive damage in confined spaces (by DepressivesBrot). Implemented on a per-item basis using the new float tag <bIndoorModifier> in Explosives.xml (0.5 means 150% damage, 1.0 means 200% etc.)
git-svn-id: https://ja2svn.mooo.com/source/ja2/trunk/GameSource/ja2_v1.13/Build@5552 3b4a5df2-a311-0410-b5c6-a8a6f20db521
- LockPickModifier modifies the lockpick chance by a specific number. If the number is positive, it is proportional to the locksmith kit's status, if the number is negative, it will always be the same. Tag is ignored if the item isn't a LocksmithKit. FindLocksmithKit should return the one that gives the biggest bonus, but it may have trouble with stacked lockpicks. Hovering over the "Locksmith Kit" icon in UDB should tell you how much of a bonus (or penalty) that item gives you.
- CrowbarModifier increases your chances to force open by using a crowbar by the number indicated. Default vanilla crowbar has a bonus of 20, so an item with a bonus of 10 will be worse than a crowbar (but possibly smaller). FindUsableCrowbar should return the item with the biggest bonus. Tag is ignored if the item isn't a Crowbar. Hovering over the "Crowbar" Icon in UDB should tell you by how much your chances are improved, though if the item is also a weapon, the icon isn't visible.
- RepairModifier modifies a toolkit's effectiveness by that percentage. If you try to repair with a shoddy toolkit that has a RepairModifier of -20, you'll be 80% as effective, while repairing with an excellent toolkit that has a RepairModifier of 20 means you are 120% as effective. When checking if you have a toolkit at hand, it should select the one with the biggest bonus. Tag is ignored if item isn't also a Toolkit. Hovering over the "Toolkit" icon in UDB should tell you how effective the repair kit is.
- DisarmModifier increases your chances to disarm a trap by the indicated amount, modified by the Diffusal Kit's status. The FindDisarmKit should return the item with the biggest bonus, though it uses the top item in a stack. Currently using the "Wirecutters" icon in UDB, hovering over it should tell you by how much your trap disarm chance is improved.

- individual LBE gear can be created via MOLLE items. For each LBE item, there's a definition which pockets may be changed and how much space the new pockets may take up in total.
- If there's a free pocket slot and enough space -> attach item and enable pocket.
- for further description, see Doc/Design Document- MOLLE.txt
git-svn-id: https://ja2svn.mooo.com/source/ja2/trunk/GameSource/ja2_v1.13/Build@5441 3b4a5df2-a311-0410-b5c6-a8a6f20db521
- if the terrain allows it, an empty sandbag (item 1540) can be filled to a full sandbag (item 1541). You need to have a shovel (item 1015) in your second hand. You will notice the new hammer cursor
- by using a full sandbag, you can build a sandbag barrier
- by using a concertina stack, you can build a concertina wire barrier
- this only works if the current map has sandbags/concertina wire in its tileset
- with a shovel in your hand, you can remove a sandbag barrier
- changed the size of shovel so it can actually be put in inventories. It was also necessary to remove its ability to be used as a melee weapon.

o with the tag <PoisonPercentage>, you can now poison guns or ammo. This is the percentage of damage dealt that will be poisonous (see zombie thread for an explanation)
o The zombie option can only be enabled in a single player game
o AI fix: to prevent the endless clock problem, the AI now ends the turn if the same actor calls the decision routine over 100 times in a single turn.
git-svn-id: https://ja2svn.mooo.com/source/ja2/trunk/GameSource/ja2_v1.13/Build@5313 3b4a5df2-a311-0410-b5c6-a8a6f20db521
2. ReInitMergedItem now returns a list of attachments that were unable to be reattached or dropped onto the ground (ie: non-default inseparable ones). These were previously just being tossed into oblivion.
3. Item transformations now try to attach any inseparable attachments that couldn't be attached to the first result to the other results.
4. Item merges will now try to attach any attachments on the second item in the merge to the first result. This was already happening for the first item in the merge.
git-svn-id: https://ja2svn.mooo.com/source/ja2/trunk/GameSource/ja2_v1.13/Build@5292 3b4a5df2-a311-0410-b5c6-a8a6f20db521
- allows creating of complex tripwire networks, that behave differently depending on where they are activated. Different networks can overlap, allowing a wide range of trap network designs
- added network-specific view methods (ALT + Shift + C)
- added new dialogues when planting tripwire
New feature: remote defusing of mines (by Flugente)
- the new items Remote Defuse and Remote Combo allow to remotely defuse a bomb that has been planted. Simply select a frequency for defusing upon planting the mine. This frequency is of course treated differently than a detonation frequency.
New feature: directional frag explosions (by Flugente)
- the tag <Directional>1</Directional> in Items.xml allows an explosive to be directional. Frags caused by its explosion will fly in the direction determined by the merc planting them.
- the tags <ubHorizontalDegree> and <ubVerticalDegree> in Explosives.xml determine the arc in which the frags will fly.
New feature: makeshift mines (by Flugente)
- you can now create mines out of grenades: simply merge tripwire with them. You can then use them like regular mines. They can also be activated by your tripwire networks.
- With a simple item transformation in the UDB, you can transform a makeshift mine back to a grenade and a piece of tripwire.
Minor changes (by Flugente)
- metal detector now only works if used in hands
- wire cutters give a bonus if in hands while defusing tripwire or tripwire-activatable mines/bombs
- added new message boxes with 8 and 16 buttons
- increased the maximum number of bullets that can be on screen from 200 to 1000 (necessary for mass claymore explosions)
- the tags <Detonator> and <RemoteDetonator> are not used anymore, as those properties can be set via flags in <AttachmentClass>. For now, they still remain in the xmls though.
WARNING! This will break savegame compatibility!
