AsdowandGitHub f88b07b99b Fix loading item temp files (#245)
Call PruneWorldItems() before sectorinfo gets written to the save file.
Resetting the SF_ITEM_TEMP_FILE_EXISTS would not transfer correctly into the save file.

Sevenfm 0fdaba84f6 World items patch (by Asdow).
Adds timing logs to savegame function, similar to how we already had in loading a save file.
Uses a global struct for unloaded sectors' inventory instead of using map item temp files every time unloaded inventory is accessed.
From timing loading and saving functions with a save that has dozens of sectors with hundreds of items each, saving is a little bit slower than before, because map item temp files have to be written to disk just before the save, when that wasn't the case before (from ~0.3 s -> ~0.5s). It is offset by a decrease in loading a game (from ~1.1s -> 0.745s), once an older save is saved at least once. Any unloaded sector inventory access during gameplay is considerably faster and for example the autoresolve lag when militia is using sector equipment is completely gone for me.
Preserves save game compatibility

Wanne 2cba26ab07 Explosive improvements and fixes (by Sevenfm)
- New mine disarm dialogue (only for realtime): Disarm, Inspect, Remove Blue Flag, Blow up.
- You can now attach tripwire-activated explosives to tripwire.
- attached explosives volatility is now used in chain explosion calculation: added new function CalcTotalVolatility.
- new function CheckForBuriedBombsAndRemoveFlags removes MAPELEMENT_XXX_MINE_PRESENT flags if there is no buried bomb at checked tile. This should fix problems with flag not removed correctly after chain explosions and such.
- trip klaxon no longer calls enemies if it's activated as attached explosive (instead it makes some noise).
- added check to MineSpottedDialogueCallBack. It should fix problem with game crash with tiles that have MAPELEMENT_PLAYER_MINE_PRESENT flag set but no buried mine
- disarmed item will keep it's attachments if ALLOW_ATTACHED_EXPLOSIVES is TRUE.
- IMPROVED_BOMB_PLANTING feature can be used to auto-take tripwire items from inventory.

Kriplo b91bc7b209 Brief: //dnl ch75
- More map editor fixes and map inventory pool performance improvement for big maps.
Details:
- Fix not showing expected messagebox on exit (ALT+x) which also throw exception and goes to improper mapeditor exit.
- Fix second annoying sticky message which shouldn't popup during map loading and performing RemoveProhibitedAttachments.
- Fix CTD when delete all enemies or civilians or all of them in map.
- Fix some std exception when reporting for missing optional xml file.
- Fix memory and map corruption in old mapeditors if loaded old map has item with invalid attachment and we try to attach something else.
- As years ago pInventoryPoolList had migrated from WORLDITEM* array to std::vector<WORLDITEM> it was time to do that with gWorldItems too, all necessary functions which need to be adopted to gWorldItems std::vector type are also changed.
- Resize code for gWorldItems is changed hoping will lead into less corruption problems as now could occur in mapeditor and game when code automatically doing attachment changes.
- Change code for handling map inventory which now should be fast enough to support AIMNAS project which will probably deal with thousands of items per map.

Kriplo f008316275 Brief: //dnl ch74
- Couple map editor fixes.
Details:
- Map loading not properly set Vanilla global variable switch.
- Loading AIMNAS maps of version 28 cause CTD due to incorrect StackedObjectData loading sizeof.
- Only in editor mode and if NAS setting is on inseparable and default attachments will be always add, but default attachments will not, so older maps should be converted from mapeditor to new version.
- Fix CTD if try to place items from tab selection which contains no items.
- There was missing part from ch4 for mouse wheel support in mapeditor.
- There was conflict between keyboard and mouse events creating problems when try to select taskbar options by mouse.
- Fix annoying message of using improper attachment during item place if item consist of default or inseparable attachments.
- Remove hints to display if loading map from editor.
- Fix CTD if have previously selected merc and loading another (smaller) map.
- Saving map as Vanilla will check if attachment is valid for 1.12, that means you will lost some stuff from NIV if save in Vanilla mode, so you should always save map in newest format if want play map in 1.13.
- Add correct weight recalculation when saving in Vanilla format using old OBJECTTYPE.
- Remove entry points check during map save as Scheinworld reported problem with basement levels and similar maps which doesn't need entry points.
- Fix displaying wrong map version in summary window because MapInfo is incorrectly saved in all previous mapeditors.

- externalised texts for cleaning, food, corpse handling and covert ops
- tripwire can now be defused even if it does not have a blue flag. When having a wirecutter in the main hand, click on the planted tripwire while crouched, the defuse dialogue will show up.
- corpses spawned from items will behave according to the zombie spawn rules
- fixed a few glitches with the covert ops trait

Flugente f6bf6bf4aa New feature: food system requires mercs to eat and drink in order to survive
- food and water levels are lowered every hour, eat food to survive
- not doing so leads to various penalties and ultimately death
- added food items for that purpose. Food can degrade over time. Rotten food poisons.
- Mercs automatically consume food if hungry/thirsty and food is in their inventories
- for more info, see http://www.bears-pit.com/board/ubbthreads.php/topics/307396/Re_Mercs_need_food_and_water_t.html#Post307396
- this feature requires new STI files from the GameDir trunk.

- added a bunch of filler variable to the soldier type, so hopefully savegame compatibility can be maintained easier in the future.

WARNING: This will break savegame compatibility

Wanne c90f4bce47 - New feature: zombies can now spawn from corpses, if you specify that option in the preferences screen (by Flugente)
o if set to off, no zombies will spawn. This can also be changed in mid-game
o for more information on how this works and how to set it up, see http://www.bears-pit.com/board/ubbthreads.php/topics/295746/Zombies_WH40K_and_more.html#Post295746
o with the tag <PoisonPercentage>, you can now poison guns or ammo. This is the percentage of damage dealt that will be poisonous (see zombie thread for an explanation)
o The zombie option can only be enabled in a single player game

o AI fix: to prevent the endless clock problem, the AI now ends the turn if the same actor calls the decision routine over 100 times in a single turn.

MaddMugsy 21024ed557 Some minor features added:
1. Ja2Options.ini option to override chance of items appearing in maps (MAP_ITEM_CHANCE_OVERRIDE). Useful for debugging maps. Not including this one in the ini file for everyone to mess with though. Value range = 0-100%, where 0 (default) = use map settings.
2. AttachmentComboMerges is underused, so it's been extended to use up to 20 attachments to make it more useful. Build your own guns, anyone?
3. New merge types: Easy Explosive (existing one renamed to Hard), Easy Mechanical, Hard Mechanical.

Wanne 7a40ecd777 - New Feature: Allow attaching and using underbarrel weapons (by Flugente & JMich)
o You can now attach weapons to other weapons (only one at a time). Comes with additional fire modes (by cycling in tactical with key 'b')
o A new item, the KAC masterkey, demonstrates this. Raider and Kelly have one in their starting kit 4. (pics by smeagol)
o works both in OCTh and NCTH. Aiming is done via the main gun, but all physical values of the attached gun are considered.
o reload an underbarrel gun while it is attached by dropping the ammo on the main gun while an underbarrel fire mode is active. Cycle firemodes in tactical by pressing 'b'
o Attachments to underbarrel weapons are inseparable while weapon is attached, but they do work.

- Overheating weapons additions (by Flugente)
o New option OVERHEATING_DISPLAY_THERMOMETER_RED_OFFSET controls how red the temperature bar is at the beginning.
o New option OVERHEATING_SET_ZERO_UPON_NEW_SECTOR sets temperature of items on the floor to zero if loading a new sector

o Added a few barells to Items.xml (end of the file)
o more infos: http://www.ja-galaxy-forum.com/board/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=301059&page=1

- New Feature: Resting weapons on a surfaces
o You can now rest your weapon on crates, low walls, rocks, debris, open windows etc. while you are crouched. Resting will give yu the superior gun handling modifiers from PRONE position.
o A little 'A' on your gun indicates if you are resting it or not.
o Both settings can be turned on and off in Ja2_Options.ini under 'Tactical Gameplay Settings'

- New Feature: Externalized option on whether mercs can exit sector using grid exit in turn based mode
o new ja2_options.ini property: GRID_EXIT_IN_TURNBASED
o This ini setting does not affect leaving sectors on map edges

- Rework/Update: Ammo boxes and Ammo crates
o Ammo crate items added for remaining calibers. Tweaked prices to correspond to magazines, tweaked capacities and weights to be reasonable (~800 or less).
o Shift-R reload now looks at both boxes and crates in sector items and merc's inventory to reload, and tops off magazines in inventory as well. Only possible outside of combat.
o Ctrl-Shift-A still creates crates as per usual, with some fixes to ensure all ammo is caught on the first press.
o Shift-A now creates ammo boxes in the same loop. They mostly behave like crates, but fit in mercs inventories.
o Ammo boxes are available to purchase at BR and tony, sam, etc. Individual magazines/drums/etc are no longer available.
o Removed ammo crate xml tag. Added ubMagType tag to Magazines array. This allows us to differentiate between magazines, bullets, boxes and crates.
o Changed ammo filtering in BR's to display boxes appropriately. Added back the "Mag:" display (changed text to "Size:")
o Added ja2set.dat.xml file (WF map version in WF maps folder) to be used instead of ja2set.dat file (ja2.ini setting added) For now, if you want to play vanilla instead, just change the setting in the ini (see comments in file).
o Added P4-P9Items image files (up to 5k images each) and tileslots. 1.13 core items will continue to use Guns and P1-P3Items for the foreseeable future. P4-P9 can be used by customizers/modders to avoid conflicts with Guns/P1-P3 items. TODO: Need to discuss a strategy for this in the forums.
o Added in Ambient/0.bad and 32.bad to avoid an exception in the code.
o Updated the XML Editor
o Standardized the text on all the ammo items.

- New Multiplayer Feature: Sharing same FOV (field of view) in a coop/team-dm (for friendly teams) game
o You will also see enemies, that your teammate sees

Wanne 5d278a3a77 - Bugfix: Encountered save somewhere that took a long time to load a sector. The problem was something like over 1400 items in a cell in the sector. I just changed the reallocation strategy to grow by 3/2 of current size rather than fixed 10 because the number of memcopy decrease significantly at risk of allocating a larger than needed array (13 resizes vs 140 resizes). That code had other problems but this helped quite a bit (by tazpn)

Overhaul 7a27e7105d New attack busy system
Added missing #includes

Added LUA scripting and console

Changed the way tracers are visualized, so they work more like real tracers instead of a light fountain

Fixed signedness of many grid variables used in GetMouseMapPos calls

Fixed enemy weapon choosing: Sometimes a mortar is chosen but later rejected, but the grenade class was not reset. Caused assertion failure

Added checks so enemies don't try to chuck RPG grenades with their hands

Now possible to shoot a someone in the head if he's in water

Fixed InitSightArrays to also clear soldier interrupt duel points. This was causing an assertion failure elsewhere in the code because the interrupt list still had soldiers on it sometimes when this function was called.

Soldiers are much less willing to forfeit their turn over an attempt to use more APs than they have

Removed early setting of muzzle flash. This would allow enemies to get an interrupt before you even fired.

Fixed item dropping by AI. If AI tried to drop something while standing it would cause deadlock

Change to greatly speed up closing the sector inventory window in an unloaded sector

Added conditional compile flag to always give robot weapon ready advantage, even for 360 degree sighting

Check builddefines.h for the conditional flags. Of greatest interest might be LUA_CONSOLE. This will cause the game to bring up a command console when run. However this console is severely lacking in many areas. If anybody knows of an open-source terminal/console that could be used instead, it would be appreciated. The existing console does bad things when you try to close it, and since it counts as a separate app, it pauses the game while it has focus.

LUA scripting is very limited, basically just proof of concept. There is one global variable, the Soldiers array. An array index gives you the soldier in that slot in the currently loaded sector. The soldier has a few things that can be accessed: name (short name); fullname (long name); grid (current grid #, can be changed); walkto(grid) (function to walk to another grid); runto(grid) (function to run to another grid)
